Congratulations to Kim and Mark Fern for purchasing Lyrical.
The 36 x 36 oil painting is part of the Cosmic Resurgence Series, which inspires imagination and restores inner balance and tranquility for the viewer.
Blue is the color of the sky and the sea, reconnecting us to the most innate feeling of belonging. Blue calms, takes away the heat and invites flow like water, while invoking peaceful states of mind.
Kim and Mark fell in love with Lyrical, since the color choices reminded them of the relaxed vacation feeling of the Caribbean. Due to the current changes in the world and being unable to travel to one their favorite vacation spots they decided to bring the spirit of the Caribbean into their Pittsburgh home.
We met in 2015 when Mark and I were both part of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette Odysseys series by Mila Sanina, collecting stories from people around the globe who have made their way to Pittsburgh. Mark represented England.
And I represented Germany.
